Overview

- Simultaneous track superstructure upgrades between Birkenwerder and Oranienburg will run through August 1 to enhance line reliability.
- Early signs of damage on the aging bridges necessitated a full shutdown rather than partial closures for safety reasons.
- An Ersatzverkehr with buses will operate between Neustrelitz Hauptbahnhof and Waren (Müritz), and through travelers must reroute via Stralsund or Schwerin.
- Deutsche Bahn expects all construction and upgrades to be completed by August 1, when normal train services will resume.
