Overview
- The Familienticket is now a permanent offer and valid for travel from 1 November 2026, giving up to five people a long‑distance return trip for €99.99 with seat reservations included.
- The ticket applies to ICE, IC and EC services and requires at least one adult (age 15 or older) travelling with a child (age 0–14), with a maximum of two adults and three children or one adult with four children on one ticket.
- Families can book the ticket via bahn.de, the DB Navigator app or staffed counters up to two days before travel and can cancel up to one day before departure for a refund issued as a voucher minus a €10 fee.
- DB also extended its weekend Last‑Minute promotion through mid‑December 2027 after reporting about 1.3 million users, and said it will add one million extra Sparpreis tickets from Tuesday to Thursday priced from €6.99 for advance travel.
- Separately DB raised the Deutschlandticket to €66.80 for 2027 and asks subscribers to accept or cancel the new price by 30 November 2026 or face automatic cancellation of their subscription on 31 December 2026, a move that could push some riders to re-evaluate monthly travel costs.
