Overview
- The promotional Probe BahnCard 25/50 Gold is available for purchase from 16 January to 5 February, starting at €19.90 for the 25 Gold in second class.
- After each German gold at Milano Cortina 2026, holders ride free nationwide on DB long-distance trains the following day from 00:00 to 24:00, covering ICE, IC and EC services.
- On free-travel days, the Probebahncard Gold itself functions as the ticket, according to Deutsche Bahn.
- The trial provides 25% off Spar and Super Spar fares and up to 50% off Flex fares on the 50 Gold, with City-Ticket inclusion and immediate digital issuance.
- Customers must cancel at least four weeks before the three-month period ends to avoid automatic conversion to a regular annual subscription, and early Olympic events could produce the first free-travel day soon after 6 February if Germany wins.
