Overview
- The Hamburg–Berlin rail line will close from August 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026, for a comprehensive modernization project.
- Deutsche Bahn has awarded all remaining contracts, ensuring the project remains on time and within its allocated budget.
- Long-distance trains will be rerouted via Uelzen and Stendal, adding approximately 45 minutes to travel times, while up to 170 buses will support regional services.
