Overview

• A consortium including Deutsche Bahn, 1&1, Deutsche Telekom, O2 Telefónica and Vodafone has launched the GINT XT project with backing from the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport.
• Initial trials on the 278 km Hamburg–Berlin route aim to deliver gigabit download speeds to up to 30,000 daily passengers.
