Detroit Tigers Call Up Top Prospect Jackson Jobe for Playoff Push

The 22-year-old right-hander will debut in the bullpen as the Tigers vie for their first postseason appearance since 2014.

Jackson Jobe, the No. 1 pitching prospect in baseball, has been promoted from Triple-A Toledo to join the Detroit Tigers' bullpen.
Jobe, 22, posted a 2.36 ERA with 96 strikeouts across three minor league levels this season.
The Tigers have a one-game lead for the final AL wild-card spot with six games remaining against the Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago White Sox.
Jobe will be eligible for the postseason pending a petition to the commissioner's office to replace an injured player.
Detroit manager A.J. Hinch will add Jobe to a bullpen that has been instrumental in the team's late-season success.
