Detroit Man, 68, Charged in Southeast Michigan Bank Robbery Spree

Overview
- Alvin Myron Murray was charged with bank robbery in Oakland County on Nov. 13 and arraigned Nov. 14 before Judge James Patrick Brennan.
- Prosecutors say he is tied to robberies in Ann Arbor and Ferndale, where bank employees reported a Nov. 11 note-demand theft of about $400 with no injuries.
- Ferndale police say they arrested him Nov. 13 after working with Ann Arbor police, Southfield police and the Oakland County Gang and Violent Crime Task Force using ALPR technology.
- Police also report he allegedly robbed a bank in Mt. Clemens shortly before the Nov. 13 arrest.
- He was issued a $250,000 bond, is due back in court Nov. 24, and faces up to life in prison if convicted.
