• Jose Bonilla was identified by authorities as the worker who died at the scene during a repaving job in the 100 block of Monmouth Street.
• Israel Medellin suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital after being struck in the same incident.
• Deputies said the wheel fell from the main lanes, struck crewman William Burns and a paving machine before hitting Bonilla.
