Overview
- The retrospective runs from 21 November 2025 to 26 July 2026 at the Design Museum in London.
- Co-produced with La Cinémathèque française in close collaboration with Wes Anderson, the London presentation significantly expands the Paris premiere and marks the first UK public display of his archives.
- Newly shown materials from The Phoenician Scheme include over two dozen props, such as a Dunhill pipe and a jeweled dagger crafted by Harumi Klossowska de Rola.
- Notable exhibits feature the three-metre-wide Grand Budapest Hotel model, Asteroid City vending machines, Margot Tenenbaum’s Fendi mink coat, and puppets from Fantastic Mr Fox and Isle of Dogs.
- Curators foreground process and collaboration through storyboards, notebooks, models and costumes, drawing on an archive Anderson began preserving after Bottle Rocket to ensure film objects were retained.
