DeSantis Super PAC Gains Third Former AFP Staffer

Chris Maidment joins Never Back Down following AFP's endorsement of Nikki Haley, causing internal disruption.

Chris Maidment, a former director of grassroots operations for Americans for Prosperity (AFP), has joined Never Back Down, the super PAC supporting Gov. Ron DeSantis's presidential campaign.
Maidment is the third AFP staffer to defect to the DeSantis super PAC this month, following AFP's endorsement of Nikki Haley for president.
Maidment was terminated from AFP after criticizing the Haley endorsement, which he believes represents 'the failed past of cronyism, foreign intervention, and appeasing the progressive machine.'
Despite the defections, AFP asserts that the group has added more than 120 new volunteers since the Haley endorsement.
Never Back Down has recently undergone several changes, including the firing of its top officials.
