Overview

• Rioters threw petrol bombs, fireworks, and masonry at police over consecutive nights in Derry’s Nailors Row area, prompting PSNI to cordon off the scene.
• Fourteen PSNI officers were injured, some requiring hospital treatment, in what Chief Constable Jon Boutcher described as 'blatant sectarian violence'.
• Eleven suspects, including eight teenagers aged 14 to 17 and three adult men, remained in custody on suspicion of riotous behaviour and encouraging riot.
