Draper was one of the UK's longest-suffering Covid patients, spending 13 months in hospital after contracting the virus in March 2020.
Garraway has been open about her family's struggles, raising awareness of long Covid and the challenges faced by carers.
Draper's illness and subsequent health complications were the subject of two award-winning documentaries, Finding Derek and Caring For Derek.
