Derek Chisora Sets Manchester Date for 50th Fight, Touts Wilder, Whyte or Miller

An official opponent remains unconfirmed after Chisora said a previously arranged foe was taken by the promoter.

Overview

  • The 41-year-old heavyweight says he will box on Saturday, December 13 in Manchester on a Queensberry card that also features rising prospect Moses Itauma.
  • Chisora posted graphics naming Deontay Wilder, Dillian Whyte and Jarrell Miller as preferred opponents and said an announcement is coming soon after a planned matchup was removed.
  • Wilder is described as rebuilding following losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang, returning with a June stoppage of Tyrrell Herndon, and he has claimed he signed to fight in January.
  • Whyte owns two wins over Chisora from 2016 and 2018 and was halted in the first round by Itauma in August, leaving his next move under scrutiny.
  • Miller drew with Andy Ruiz Jr. in August 2024, withdrew from a June bout with Fabio Wardley due to a shoulder injury, and previously saw a planned February meeting with Chisora fall through over contractual issues.
