The convicted killer never revealed where his victims’ remains were left, leaving families without answers.

  • The Prison Service said Brown died in hospital on 29 September while serving his sentence at HMP Wakefield.
  • The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will investigate the death in custody, which is the standard procedure.
  • Brown was convicted on 6 October 2008 of murdering Xiao Mei Guo, 29, and Bonnie Barrett, 24, and was given a 30-year minimum term.
