Overview

  • A U6 train derailed at Harras during low-speed shunting on June 12, damaging track infrastructure and the power rail.
  • No passengers were aboard at the time and Harras station remains cordoned off for safety inspections.
  • Service on the U6 continues on truncated routes between Klinikum Großhadern and Partnachplatz as well as Garching-Forschungszentrum and Implerstraße with SEV buses replacing trains between Implerstraße and Partnachplatz.
  • The U3 line maintains its normal route but may face delays and occasional cancellations due to the disruptions.
  • Ongoing construction at the U6’s northern Kieferngarten branch is expected to keep that section closed until late July.
