Deputy Danilo Forte Hurt in Ceará Rollover Crash, Released From Hospital

Hospital imaging showed no fractures after what the lawmaker described as a rollover on an unsigned steep curve.

Overview

  • Forte, his wife Fernanda, a filmmaker on his team, and the driver were en route to a political event in Jucás when the crash happened near Solonópole on November 1.
  • The vehicle left the road on a steep, unsigned curve and rolled two or three times, according to the deputy's account.
  • All four occupants were taken to the Hospital Regional de Iguatu, where Forte reported abrasions and a headache and underwent a CT scan.
  • The deputy said he asked the federal highway police to secure the scene but was told a patrol could not go due to a vehicle lacking oil, a claim not yet confirmed by the PRF.
  • Coverage from G1 and Diário do Nordeste relies on videos the deputy posted from the hospital and on Sunday after his discharge.
