Depardieu Faces Increased Scrutiny Following Damning Documentary

The French actor, already under investigation for rape and sexual assault, is now accused by 16 women following the release of a new documentary.

French actor Gerard Depardieu is under renewed scrutiny after a documentary showed him making obscene remarks and gestures towards women during a 2018 trip to North Korea.
Depardieu, 74, is currently under investigation for rape and sexual assault following allegations from actor Charlotte Arnould in 2018.
The documentary also features French comedian Helene Darras, who accused Depardieu of touching her inappropriately during the filming of the 2008 film 'Disco'.
Depardieu has denied all allegations, stating in an open letter that he has 'never, ever abused a woman.'
The number of women accusing Depardieu of harassment, groping or sexual assault now stands at 16, according to the France 2 documentary.
