Denzel Washington to Play Hannibal in Netflix Film Directed by Antoine Fuqua

John Logan to Write the Roman Wartime Epic Covering the Second Punic War

Denzel Washington is set to star as Carthaginian General Hannibal in a Netflix feature directed by Antoine Fuqua.
The film will be written by John Logan, known for his work on 'Gladiator' and 'The Aviator'.
The movie will cover pivotal battles led by Hannibal against the Roman Republic during the Second Punic War.
Washington and Fuqua are also producing the project along with Erik Olsen and Adam Goldworm.
The film is part of Fuqua’s production company Hill District Media’s first-look partnership with Netflix.
