Denver Truck Driver Convicted of Vehicular Homicide in 2022 Crash

  • A Denver truck driver, Jesus Puebla, has been convicted of five counts of vehicular homicide following a 2022 crash that killed a Wyoming family of five.
  • The crash occurred on Interstate 25 north of Denver when Puebla's truck, traveling at 76 mph, collided with a sport utility vehicle moving at about 6 mph due to traffic congestion.
  • Puebla was also found guilty of reckless driving, not having a valid commercial driver's license, and other counts.
  • The victims were Aaron Godines and Halie Everts of Gillette, Wyoming, their 3-month-old daughter Tessleigh, and Aaron's parents, Emiliano and Christina Godines.
  • Puebla's sentencing is scheduled for June 21.
