Overview

• The crash happened Aug. 25 around 6:30–6:32 p.m. at W. 50th Avenue and N. Vallejo Street in Denver’s Chaffee Park.
• Police say a Mercedes-Benz SUV traveling south on N. Vallejo ran a stop sign and struck a bicyclist heading west on W. 50th.
• The driver fled the scene, and the cyclist sustained serious injuries.
• Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867, with anonymous tips eligible for a cash reward.
• Investigators released an image of a similar SUV and listed case number 25-456140, and no arrest has been announced as of the latest reports.
