A Denver police officer had a below-the-knee amputation after being struck by a firetruck during the Nuggets' NBA championship parade.
Sgt. Justin Dodge was trying to protect fans when he was hit.
Dodge underwent a procedure that involved a skin graft.
He has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
The incident occurred on June 15th, three days after the Nuggets won their first NBA championship.
