Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray led the Denver Nuggets' victory against the Memphis Grizzlies with each player scoring 22 points. Jokic also accounted for 12 rebounds and seven assists, leading the team to stave off a fourth-quarter rally by the Grizzlies.
Despite the Grizzlies overtaking the Nuggets briefly in the fourth quarter, with Derrick Rose's leaner earning them a 98-97 lead, key scores from Jokic and Murray secured the Nuggets' victory.
Denver Nuggets' Reggie Jackson and Michael Porter Jr. made significant contributions to the win with 16 points and 13 rebounds respectively, along with other team members.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 21 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks. However, overall team performance struggled in the absence of key players, Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke, due to injuries and Ja Morant's suspension.
The win against the Grizzlies marks the Nuggets' second consecutive victory of the season. Coach Michael Malone anticipates future games will be challenging as every team will strive to beat the reigning league champion.
