Dense Fog Advisories Issued for Eastern Curry, Josephine, Jackson and Baker Counties This Morning

  • Baker County received a separate advisory at 6:47 a.m. that remains in effect until 9 a.m., the weather service reported.
  • Visibility may drop to one quarter of a mile or less in the affected areas, making travel difficult even on familiar routes.
  • Drivers are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights or fog lights if equipped, and leave extra following distance.
  • In near-zero visibility, officials advise activating hazard lights, pulling into a safe location or well off the roadway, turning off all lights except hazards, and setting the emergency brake while releasing the brake pedal.
