Denise Richards Granted 5-Year Restraining Order Against Aaron Phypers

The ruling follows days of testimony about alleged abuse during the marriage.

Overview

  • A Los Angeles judge ordered Phypers to stay 100 yards from Richards and her workplace, to have no contact with her, and to refrain from possessing firearms through Nov. 7, 2030.
  • The court mandated that Phypers return Richards’ laptop, delete and return surgery videos and other images, and refrain from sharing her photos or providing information about her to the media.
  • Under the order, Richards may record any communications that occur between the two for legal or practical reasons.
  • Phypers was arrested at a courthouse on Oct. 17 and faces four felony counts, including two for injuring a spouse and two for dissuading a witness, with his next criminal court date set for December after posting $200,000 bond.
  • Richards testified that Phypers caused her at least three concussions and a witness described a 2022 incident, while Phypers denied all allegations of abuse.
