Denice Zamboanga to Challenge Stamp Fairtex for ONE Atomweight MMA World Title

If victorious, Zamboanga will become the first Filipina MMA world champion.

Filipino atomweight fighter Denice Zamboanga is set to challenge reigning ONE atomweight MMA world champion Stamp Fairtex for the title at ONE 166: Qatar on March 1.
Zamboanga and Stamp were former training partners and maintain a close friendship, but both are ready to set aside their friendship for the championship match.
Zamboanga has had back-to-back victories over Lin Heqin and Julie Mezabarba, earning her the opportunity for a world title shot.
Stamp Fairtex will be making her first defense of the world title she claimed in September last year by way of TKO over South Korean Ham Seo Hee.
If Zamboanga wins the match, she will become the first Filipina MMA world champion.
