Democrats Release Epstein ‘Birthday Book’ Page Attributed to Trump as White House Disputes Authenticity

After the estate complied with a subpoena, Democrats posted the page, drawing a White House denial.

Overview

  • The image shows a hand-drawn outline of a woman framing a typewritten exchange that ends, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret,” with what appears to be a “Donald” signature.
  • President Trump denies writing or drawing the note and has a pending $10 billion defamation suit against the Wall Street Journal over its July report; Dow Jones says it stands by the story.
  • Epstein’s estate delivered the professionally bound 2003 birthday book and other records, including his will, a 2007 nonprosecution agreement, contact book entries, and bank information, for committee review.
  • The Justice Department has provided roughly 33,000 pages to the House Oversight Committee, and Democrats say much of the material produced so far was already public.
  • Ghislaine Maxwell told the DOJ she coordinated the birthday project but does not recall discussing a Trump contribution, while White House allies circulated signature comparisons to question the page’s authenticity.
