Overview
- Ocean Winds awarded DEME three packages to install 26 monopiles, one offshore substation foundation, inter-array cables and the export cable at BC-Wind.
- DEME said the combined value of the awards is between EUR 150 million and EUR 300 million, citing a 10 December release.
- Offshore works are scheduled for 2027 and 2028 using the vessel Orion for foundations and the cable ships Living Stone and Viking Neptun for installation.
- The export cable scope will be delivered in consortium with Hellenic Cables, covering engineering through installation.
- The awards follow roughly EUR 2 billion in project finance and complement Seaway7’s transition-piece and substation scope from 2027 and Cadeler’s turbine installation in 2028, with first power expected in 2028.
