Delta Opens Second Delta One Lounge at LAX

A small, dining-focused space created to relieve near-term capacity now will be briefly closed when an 11,000 sq ft Terminal 2 Sky Club opens in late 2027.

Overview

  • Delta opened the Terminal 2 Delta One Lounge on June 30, 2026, creating the first U.S. airport to host two Delta One Lounges.
  • The mezzanine lounge near gate 23A is about 4,000 square feet and seats roughly 75 guests, prioritizing table-service, à la carte dining over extensive work or spa facilities.
  • Access is limited to Delta One ticketed passengers, select partner premium-cabin travelers, and Delta 360 invitees, with no entry via credit-card benefits or Sky Club membership.
  • Delta positioned the quick opening as a temporary, demand-driven fix to handle higher premium traffic such as World Cup crowds and said the space will close briefly for finishing work after the larger T2 Sky Club opens.
  • The move is part of a phased LAX buildout that includes an 11,000-square-foot T2 Sky Club targeted for late 2027 and further lounge expansion ahead of the 2028 Olympics as Delta grows flights and premium demand from LAX.
