Delta Airlines Boeing Emergency Slide Detaches Mid-Flight, Forcing Return to JFK

A Delta Airlines Boeing 767 was compelled to make an emergency landing at JFK Airport after its emergency slide detached shortly after takeoff.

Delta Flight 520, bound for Los Angeles, returned to JFK approximately 33 minutes after departure due to the detachment of an emergency exit slide.
The incident, which occurred on a Boeing 767, prompted an immediate investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
No injuries were reported among the 176 passengers and seven crew members on board.
Authorities are currently searching for the missing slide, which is believed to have fallen off near Jamaica Bay.
Delta Airlines has taken the aircraft out of service for thorough inspection and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigations.
