Delta Air Lines Tops On-Time Performance in North America for Third Year

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport leads globally in on-time departures, while Air Canada lags in punctuality.

Delta Air Lines was the most on-time airline in North America for the third consecutive year in 2023, with 84.72% of its over 1.6 million flights arriving on time, according to a report from aviation analytics company Cirium.
Alaska Airlines came second with 82.25% of its flights arriving on time, followed by American Airlines (80.61%), United Airlines (80.04%), and Southwest Airlines (76.26%).
Air Canada had the worst on-time performance among large airlines in North America, with only 63% of its flights arriving on time.
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was the top airport globally for on-time departures, with 84.44% of flights departing on time in 2023.
Industry experts are forecasting a record air travel boom for 2024, with some of the highest ranked airports for punctuality located in the U.S.
