Dell Unveils New XPS Lineup with Intel Core Ultra CPUs and Controversial Design Changes

The XPS 13, 14, and 16 laptops feature minimalist designs, AI acceleration hardware, and new design elements that have sparked debate among users.

Dell has unveiled its new XPS lineup, featuring the XPS 13, 14, and 16 laptops, all powered by Intel's latest Core Ultra 'Meteor Lake' CPUs.
The XPS 14 and 16 laptops also offer Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4050 and 4070 GPUs respectively.
All three laptops feature a minimalist design with CNC-machined aluminum bodies and Gorilla Glass 3 surfaces.
The laptops also come with AI acceleration hardware and a new Copilot key to summon Microsoft's new AI-powered assistant.
However, the new design has sparked controversy due to the replacement of the function key row with a flat LED bar and the use of an invisible, borderless 'haptic ForcePad' instead of a traditional trackpad.
