Overview

  • Local civic bodies have assumed licence issuance for hotels, restaurants, swimming pools, discotheques, video game parlours, amusement parks and auditoriums since June 22
  • Industrial units holding MSME Udyam registrations or GNCTD/DSIIDC allotments now automatically qualify for factory licences under DMC Act sections 416 and 417
  • Factory licence fees are standardized at 5% of property tax and will be collected annually through the revamped property tax portal, replacing horsepower-based inspections
  • Portal upgrades and workflow automation are in progress to integrate licence issuance with property tax payments by the end of the year
