Forecasts point to very poor to severe conditions through next week.

Overview

  • Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan remains in force across NCR, suspending non-essential construction, tightening vehicle and industrial curbs, and keeping primary classes on hybrid mode.
  • Source apportionment showed stubble-burning’s share rising to about 16.3% on Saturday from 8.5% a day earlier, with transport contributing roughly 18–20%, the largest share.
  • IMD and IITM warned of persistent stagnation with calm winds and lower temperatures, including a season-low 9.7°C, keeping pollution trapped and pushing the outlook toward very poor to severe.
