Delhi Wraps Up 20-Day Cleanliness Drive, Reports Major Urban Improvements

  • Public safety was bolstered with the rectification of 4,139 dark spots, repair of 4,140 streetlights, and installation of 285 new lights in previously unlit areas.
  • Authorities issued 11,131 challans for encroachments and insanitary conditions, and over 37,000 illegal posters and banners were removed citywide.
  • An average of 33,809 sanitation workers participated daily, and 283 Resident Welfare Associations collaborated, reflecting strong citizen engagement in the initiative.
