Overview
- Ashish Sood held a parents’ orientation at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Chirag Delhi to introduce families to new safety protocols and school facilities
- The government has committed to modernizing every Delhi government school with AI-driven learning tools and upgraded computer and ICT labs over the next five years
- The rollout includes 5,000 AI-enabled smart classrooms, 100 ICT labs, 450 language laboratories and nearly 19,000 smart boards under the Rs 900-crore plan
- Inspired by Gujarat’s model of over 110,000 smart classrooms, Delhi aims to replicate digital learning successes in underserved areas such as Najafgarh and Kirari
- Aligned with the National Curriculum Framework 2023, the programme also adds AI libraries, robotics labs, entrepreneurship education and foundational literacy initiatives
