Delhi Unveils Modern Narela Bus Terminal, Expands Electric Fleet
The facility will support last-mile connections in North Delhi with the arrival of 150 new electric buses by month end
Overview
- Delhi Transport Corporation completed the upgradation of the 4,000 sq m Narela facility in a record 100 days near Urban Transportation Road-11.
- The depot features three dedicated bus bays, two sheds measuring 34 m and 40 m, parking, a spacious canteen, clean toilets and RO drinking water.
- Most services from the terminal will use electric buses to connect Old Delhi Railway Station, Mori Gate, Delhi Secretariat, Uttam Nagar and Dayalu Colony.
- DTC will bolster its fleet this month with 150 low-floor DEVI electric buses equipped with CCTV, GPS tracking, panic buttons and real-time passenger information.
- The project is part of the ‘Viksit Delhi Sankalp Patra – 2025’ drive to deliver greener, safer and more accessible public transport across the capital.
