- The Academic Council approved a four-credit undergraduate General Elective on 'Sikh Martyrdom in Indian History (c.1500–1765)' developed by the Centre for Independence and Partition Studies.
- A new Skill Enhancement Course in Radio Jockeying was green-lit to train students in voice modulation, live-show hosting and studio operations.
- Revised fourth-year UG guidelines allow all faculty members to supervise up to ten dissertations or projects per student, supported by an Advisory Committee for Research.
- Students admitted in the 2016–17 session received a two-year extension to complete degrees under the shift from CBCS to the UGCF model.
- Postgraduate Political Science papers on Pakistan, China, Islam and political violence were dropped and a proposal for up to 5% credits via MOOCs was sent to a review committee after faculty objections.
