Delhi University Opens Mid-Entry Window and Schedules Third CSAS‑UG Round

The timetable gives late or incomplete applicants a brief path into admissions while setting strict acceptance, verification, and fee deadlines.

Overview

  • The university published the new schedule in an official notice on Wednesday, July 29, reporting 71,342 confirmed undergraduate admissions as of 6:30 pm that day.
  • Mid‑entry registrations run from August 3 to August 5 with a non‑refundable additional fee of ₹1,000 for applicants who missed or did not complete Phase I or II.
  • DU said the mid‑entry option does not apply to ECA, Sports, Children/Widows and Ward supernumerary quotas or to performance‑ and practical‑based programmes such as BA (Hons) Music, BSc (PE, HE & Sports) and BFA.
  • Upgraded allocations and the first Ward Quota list will be released on August 1 with college verification due by August 3 and fee payment by August 4; the third CSAS allocation will be published on August 8 with candidate acceptance required by August 11 and final verification and payment deadlines falling on August 12–13.
  • The second round produced large movement—about 25,088 upgrade requests and 32,233 freezes—and DU warns candidates to watch the CSAS portal closely and meet the narrow acceptance, verification, and fee windows to secure seats.
