Delhi University Completes Record NEP-Era Exam Cycle

The surge follows steady growth in exams since NEP adoption.

  • The Examination Branch oversaw semester tests for over seven lakh students across nearly 90 colleges, including the School of Open Learning.
  • Roughly 15,000 question papers were prepared with more than 10,000 teachers engaged, supported by multiple Central Evaluation Centres for timely, transparent assessment.
  • The November–December 2025 session hit a record with 941 papers in a single session, up from 228 in the corresponding period in 2024.
  • Students examined in one session rose from 69,808 to 86,000 within a year, which officials described as the branch’s heaviest single-session workload.
  • Reporting noted sharp daily peaks, including about 2.28 lakh students on one December day and an internal log of 904 papers, with 65,413 SOL undergraduates, 2,002 SOL postgraduates and 161,366 regular undergraduates.
