Overview
- Restrictions begin at 7 pm on December 31 and remain in place until celebrations end, applying to both private and public vehicles.
- Access toward Connaught Place will be cut off beyond key junctions including Mandi House, Bengali Market, the Minto Road–DDU Marg crossing, and Chelmsford Road near New Delhi Railway Station.
- No vehicular movement will be permitted inside Connaught Place’s inner, middle, or outer circles without a valid pass.
- Parking is limited to designated sites such as Gole Dak Khana, Patel Chowk, Mandi House, Minto Road, Panchkuian Road, KG Marg crossing, Bengali Market, Windsor Place, Gole Market, and Jantar Mantar Road on a first‑come basis, with towing and prosecution for violations.
- Alternative corridors are prescribed for north–south and east–west travel, New Delhi Railway Station access is directed via Mandir Marg–Rani Jhansi Road–Desh Bandhu Gupta Road–Bhav Bhuti Marg with Ajmeri Gate advised, and India Gate’s C‑Hexagon may close to vehicles with diversions from points including Janpath, Windsor Place, Mandi House, Sunheri Masjid, Rajpath–Rafi Marg, and Mathura Road as crowds build.
