Police say the buyer sought a male child, offering cash that prompted the abduction-for-sale plot.

  • The child, reported missing on September 24 from a footpath near Ganga Ram Hospital, was recovered in Mahoba on September 26 and returned to his parents after a medical examination.
  • Officers seized a scooter, the car used in the offence and ₹5,500 in cash, and the wider network behind the sale remains under investigation.
