Delhi to Launch ₹2,500 Monthly Aid for Women Under Mahila Samriddhi Scheme on March 8

- The Mahila Samriddhi Scheme offers ₹2,500 per month to eligible women aged 18 to 60 residing in Delhi with annual household incomes under ₹3 lakh.
- Applicants must not be government employees, taxpayers, or recipients of other government financial aid programs.
- The scheme will be launched on March 8, International Women’s Day, with Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) to beneficiaries' bank accounts.
- An online portal and verification system are being developed to ensure accurate identification of eligible applicants using Aadhaar-linked data.
- The BJP fulfilled its election promise to implement the scheme after defeating AAP in the Delhi Assembly elections, marking its return to power in the capital after 27 years.
