- Officials told PTI a meeting in the coming week will set the final date and procedures for the rollout.
- The Saheli smart card replaces paper pink tickets and offers lifetime validity for eligible women and transgender residents aged 12 and above.
- The free-travel benefit applies only on DTC and Cluster buses under the NCMC-based card, which can also be topped up for other transit use.
- Registration will be online via the DTC portal for bona fide Delhi residents, with Aadhaar, PAN, proof of address and a photo required as per bank KYC norms.
- Issuing banks may charge nominal fees, cards will be dispatched after verification, activation will occur through DTC’s AFCS, and DTC will not issue cards directly.
