- The Rising North East Investors Summit in New Delhi secured investment proposals totalling Rs4.3 lakh crore and drew delegations from 80 countries
- Tripura emerged as a leading beneficiary with 64 MoUs worth Rs15,823 crore across tourism, agar and rubber processing, education and healthcare
- The Union Ministry of DoNER has hosted nine mega events including the New Delhi summit and roadshows in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Ahmedabad to showcase northeastern investment prospects
- An ADB study on the Northeast Economic Corridor identified 24 growth centres and proposed multi-model transport networks linking the region with the rest of India and neighbouring South Asian nations
- The DoNER-constituted task force, convened in March, is set to submit a detailed investment promotion strategy to the North Eastern Council in September
