Delhi Sets Nov. 1 Unveiling for First Official Government Logo

The design emerged from a nationwide MyGov contest reviewed by an expert panel.

Overview

  • Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired an Oct. 25 meeting that reviewed shortlisted entries and selected final designs, with one logo to be approved in a follow-up meeting before release.
  • The emblem is slated to be formally unveiled on Delhi Day and will become the permanent symbol of the National Capital’s government.
  • More than 1,800 submissions were received through the MyGov portal and evaluated by a committee chaired by the Secretary of the General Administration Department.
  • Cabinet ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma, expert committee members, and senior officials participated in the review.
  • Officials say the logo is intended to convey modern, transparent, citizen-focused governance and reflect the city’s cultural identity alongside its development.
