• National Youth Day on January 12, 2026 will feature a Startup and Skill Youth Festival bringing together all 11 Delhi universities and 19 ITIs to showcase student innovation, with the event set to be held annually.
• A core committee will be constituted to resolve long-pending issues across universities and educational institutions within defined timelines.
• Ashish Sood said DSEU faces many problems and promised to address concerns over infrastructure, fees, curriculum alignment and payments for contractual staff.
• He reaffirmed the goal of making Delhi the 'Skill Capital of India' and said the government aims to expand DSEU’s reach and impact.
• DSEU, created in 2020, operates about 19 campuses with roughly 60 programmes, has adopted multiple entry-exit options under NEP principles and maintains industry links with firms such as Mercedes, IBM, Hitachi and Daikin.
