Delhi Sets 9 a.m.–Noon Traffic Restrictions With 90-Minute Lutyens Closure on Dec. 5

The measures aim to secure movements during Vladimir Putin's state visit for the IndiaRussia summit.

Overview

  • Traffic will be regulated across central Delhi from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, according to the Delhi Traffic Police advisory.
  • From 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., no vehicle may halt or park on Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, MLNP and Janpath Road.
  • Movement will be controlled on key corridors including W Point, A Point, ITO Chowk, BSZ Marg, Delhi Gate, JLN Marg, Rajghat and Shanti Van crossings, Hanuman Setu–Y Point, Netaji Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg, the Saleem Garh Flyover bypass, the MGM–Pragati Maidan Tunnel to Hanuman Setu, Kashmere Gate, Vikas Marg and IP Marg.
  • Parking is restricted to designated zones, with violations subject to towing and possible prosecution, and drivers are urged to use alternate routes.
  • Towed vehicles will be taken to pits near Kali Bari Mandir Marg and in front of Bhairon Mandir, with assistance available via traffic helplines and Delhi Traffic Police social channels.
