- Education Minister Ashish Sood said Tuesday that lessons on the RSS will be introduced for Classes 1–12 under the Rashtraneeti programme.
- The syllabus will cover the organisation’s origin, history and ideology, highlight relief work and contributions to the freedom struggle, and aim to address misconceptions.
- A dedicated section on unsung heroes will feature figures such as Veer Savarkar, Subhas Chandra Bose, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
- The chapter will note leaders associated with the RSS, including Atal Bihari Vajpayee NareNarendra Modi, and emphasize service, discipline and social responsibility.
- Teacher handbooks are prepared and SCERT training has begun, and officials are finalizing which classes study which chapters after the programme’s September 18 launch by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the Namo Vidya Utsav.
