- SCERT acted on a Sept. 1 Ministry of Education directive issued with Defence Ministry coordination, telling Delhi schools to complete Veer Gatha 5.0 activities by Sept. 20.
- The order applies to all institutions, including DoE and MCD schools, aided schools, the Delhi Cantonment Board and private schools.
- Students will submit poems, essays, paintings, short videos and multimedia projects, with schools uploading selected work to the MyGov portal for evaluation.
- National winners will be announced ahead of Republic Day 2026, with each award carrying a ₹10,000 cash prize and formal recognition.
- Schools must establish ‘Veer Gatha Corners’ highlighting military traditions and bravery stories, share photos on X tagging the Defence Minister and Delhi Chief Minister, and maintain designated nodal officers whose details were filed on Sept. 5.
