- Rs 10.55 crore is earmarked for 1,569 elementary schools and Rs 9.65 crore for 1,076 secondary schools.
- Permitted uses include minor repairs, upkeep of buildings and toilets, replacement of unserviceable equipment and inclusive access features.
- Schools may support co-curricular and enrichment efforts such as debates, quizzes, art workshops, Kala Utsav, science exhibitions and awareness drives.
- Purchases like furniture or items for staff personal use are barred to keep the grant focused on learning and student welfare.
